Camera Storage & Bandwidth Planner

Add camera groups with different bitrates and recording methods. Motion percentages are estimates of the actual time video is saved.

Drive counts are simple capacity estimates, not a RAID design. Account separately for redundancy, hot spares, disk formatting, VMS overhead and vendor-supported drive configurations.

Planning estimates use decimal units (1 TB = 1,000 GB), camera bitrate, recording schedule, and expected motion duty cycle. Peak bitrate is the sum of camera stream bitrates; actual network traffic may differ. Results exclude RAID redundancy, disk formatting, VMS database overhead and other system-specific requirements. Verify sizing against real camera data and VMS requirements.
