Is Your Pull Station Weather Ready?

The other day I was on a service call. When I arrived at the site which is a fairly new install still under warranty the fire alarm panel (3030) showed a ‘NO ANSWER’ trouble on a pull station.

After locating the pull station on the outside of the building in a wet location I took the pull down (it was raining):

The pull station was obviously wet inside and out. The back box was not water proof and the addressable monitor module was placed inside this box never to work again.

After moving the new module to the nearest junction box inside the building and installing a new weatherproof back box on the new pull, this is what it is supposed to look like:
